Amassed from multiple vineyard blocks and clones, this wine has turbulent wavy texture like a class III river rapid running perpendicular to the tongue. Across the mid-palate and to the finish, the wine takes on pixelated texture of medium sized river rock moving toward a din of whitewater noise. Expressing Autumn, the 2019 Σ (The Sum) leads with cracked black pepper, leaf duff, allspice, and brown sugar on the nose, with everlasting bramble on the finish. 50% whole-cluster fermentation bolsters the wine, sustaining the tannic imprint with wavy texture on the finish.
