ABOUT

Pinot Noir
At the Slope, the Zena Crown Vineyard shifts to face primarily south, encouraging perfect ripeness and maximum phenolic development. Symbolizing a dark winter’s night, Slope has a quiet entry that crescendos rapidly with the energy of a stallion. The wine has aromas of spearmint, plum reduction sauce, and white puffy clouds with flavors of barely ripe red fruit, rich umami, and lightly roasted coffee. The 2019 Slope reminds Winemaker, Shane Moore, of how important it is to learn from the classics, like an aspiring novelist or a young saxophonist looking to the greats and reflecting upon them.
